| Request for Transfer/Druthers Form Today, you will be able to access the link to ‘Request a Transfer” for the 2012-13 school year. http://www2.wcpss.net/departments/hr/transfer_form.htm I realize this is a very important decision that is made for a variety of reasons. As a teacher I remember this was something I shared with my principal so that there were no surprises when they received the list of those requesting a transfer or a call from the other principal concerning an interview. The “Druther’s form for next year is also attached to the Captain’s Log today. The form is due Friday, January 27. This will give all tracks time to consider the multiple options on the form and get the form back to me either by e-mail or in an envelope outside my office. Each of you is a valued member of the OCE staff. Your passion for children is evident each day when I walk down the halls and listen to you teach. For some of you the decision for next year is very easy, for some this is a time of transition and brings about difficult decisions. Please know that if you need to talk my door is always open to listen. Superintendent’s Visit THANK YOU!!! Thank you to all of you for being you! Last Monday, Mr. Tata visited our school. Travis and I had the opportunity to talk with Mr. Tata prior to his tour of the school and interacting with several of you and our students. I wanted to let you know one statement of the many he made during our walk “I really like seeing the work the student’s do out in the hall, especially when it is meaningful. Instead of store bought stuff.” I wanted you to know how sometimes it’s the “little” things that make the biggest difference. Thank you for taking the time to highlight what our students are doing! You know if Mr. Tata noticed, our current parents notice and possible parents do as well. |
