Promotion and Interventions
We will be coming to grade level meetings to talk about the data they are reviewing on the students who are struggling and will receive the promotion and intervention letter. Let us know when your team will be meeting in the next two weeks, so admin will be involved in the discussion.
School Improvement Plan
Clipper Behavior Support Team will be meeting this Friday, February 3rd to discuss our school climate goal and identify areas of need to improve our school climate and culture. The academic team will also be meeting soon to discuss our literacy focus.
Leapin’ into Literacy
Lead Team discussed February 29th’s OCE Leap Into Literacy Night. It will be from 6:00-7:30, with the PTA starting off the night. It has been great to hear the grade level teams' ideas for encouraging love of reading with our students.
Common Core – Math Strands
See Kathy’s email about details of the first 3 (of 8) math strands. Please use some of your PLT or grade level time to discuss the changes in the math curriculum for next school year. Be on the look out for an email from Kathy that will detail the other 5 strands.
School / Work Hours
Be sure that you are at your doors ready to meet your students at 8:45 or if you are not a classroom teacher out and about to monitor students in the hallway. Also, be sure that you are on campus until after the last bus has left the station (this is typically at 4:00). Please see Nanette or Travis if you need to come in late or leave early.
